If you caught the Tonys on CBS Sunday night, you would’ve noticed “Crazy Ex-girlfriend” star Rachel Bloom holding down backstage duties during the broadcast. She was conducting interviews and even cracking her own jokes throughout the night. However, one person wasn’t quite clear about who she was exactly. “How I Met Your Mother” star Neil Patrick Harris was live-tweeting the Tonys from his couch with his kids and begged the question, “Who is the woman in the top hat backstage at the Tony Awards? Gideon remarked that she says ‘like’ and ‘oh my god’ a lot. I’m confused.” Well, Rachel was happy enough to explain exactly who she is. She tweeted back to NPH, “I’m a big fan of yours. We’ve met numerous times and my husband, Dan Gregor, wrote for ‘How I Met Your Mother’ for 5 years. Notably, he wrote the episode where your character finally meets his father.” All NPH could tweet back was, “Indeed! Well said. Thanks for the reminder. How was backstage?” Awkward…

Alec Baldwin, like many celebrities, has spoken out about Chef Anthony Bordain’s death, but what he said was slightly disturbing. Alec said of Anthony’s death, “That would not be the way I would do it. I would take a lot of pills, then get in a car in my garage, and turn the car on. Put on a really nice piece of music – Eric Clapton, Layla.” When asked if he had ever contemplated suicide, Alec said, “Yes. I wrote it in my book.” He said he had the thoughts at the height of the custody battle for his daughter, Ireland, in 2008. Alec said, “I planned it and everything… pills, get in the car, turn the car on, put the music on, lay down, take a nap, you don’t wake up. That’s it, its over.” He added, “The good news is I didn’t do it. A couple of friends of mine would say to me that’s the not the answer.” Alec said his friends and family were the ones who got him through that dark period in his life. With all these celebrities bringing attention to suicide and mental health awareness, and in the wake of the suicides of Kate Spade and Anthony Bordain, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-8255) has seen an increase by over 25% more calls. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – that’s more people taking the first step towards asking for help or trying to help someone else.
“Younger” star Hilary Duff‘s 6-year-old son, Luca, just found out he’s getting a baby sister, and he’s already picked out her name. Hilary said, “We’re up for any kind of suggestions, but Luca thinks ‘Cofant Croissant’ is like, the coolest name. Luca has become pretty insistent on the choice.” She added, “There would be no confusion. And when I just refer to it as ‘Cofant,’ and I’m like, ‘That would be so cool, no one at school’s going to be named Cofant,’ He’s like ‘Croissant. Cofant Croissant.’ It goes together. There’s no separating the two….It’s concerning. I think he has pretty good taste… It’s pretty strong right?” Not sure if it’s strong enough to knock Emma and Olivia out of the top spots for girl names, but it’s definitely good, definitely something there….
