Just days after Ben Affleck and Shauna Sexton appeared to enjoy a romantic getaway in Montana, the two have reportedly split. But according to a source, it’s no big thing – they were just casually dating anyway. The two had continued their romance even as Ben checked into rehab. The Playboy model was seen visiting him at the treatment center, and the two were reportedly seen together at his house once he left the facility. Now, a friend of Ben’s has said that the while the two had a fun fling, he’s taking a break from his dating life, for now, to focus on his sobriety, family, and future projects. It looks like Ben’s already on that track, too, since he was seen heading to a therapy session in Los Angeles the same day they broke up. “He enjoyed being with her but is working on himself,” the insider added. “And being together with her at this time is not something that works.” Oooooooooor not? Shauna has apparently said that she and Ben are just fine and that reports of a split are “not accurate.”
The nominees for the 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were just announced, and in the running this year are Def Leppard, Devo, Janet Jackson, John Prine, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, the Cure, Todd Rundgren, Rufus & Chaka Kahn and the Zombies. First time nominees this year include Def Leppard, Nicks, Devo, Roxy Music, Prine and Rundgren, while nine of the 15 artists have been nominated in previous years including Radiohead and Rage Against the Machine, who were both nominated for the first time last year, LL Cool J and Kraftwerk, who’ve both been nominated four times before, and the Zombies, who’ve been in the running on three previous occasions. Interestingly, no newly-eligible artists received nods this year. A fan vote is now open, with the Top Five acts earning a “fans’ ballot” that will be considered when the HOF’s international body votes (sure it will). The new class of inductees will be announced in December, and the 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will take place March 29th at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
Congratulations are in order for “Wedding Crashers” star Owen Wilson. He’s a dad again at 49. He and Varunie Vongsvirates have welcomed a daughter. The little girl is Owen’s third child – he has two sons from his previous relationships. Varunie announced her pregnancy in June by sharing an ultrasound photo on Instagram along with the baby’s name and gender. She captioned it, “Say hello to Lyla. 3 months to go!” No word on if Owen and Varunie are still in a relationship or if he’ll be involved in the new baby’s life.
Leslie Jones has been a good luck charm for Christian Siriano ever since he dressed her for the premiere of “Ghostbusters” a few years ago. He said that he’s sold hundreds of the red off-the-shoulder gown she wore for the premiere. Christian said, “Certain celebrities, when they wear clothes, people immediately want it. Our wildcard is when we dress Leslie.” Of course, it probably helps that the “Saturday Night Live” star makes sure she talks about how much she loves the shape, fit, silhouette, and color of the outfit. Christian said, “She’s my hype woman.” The 2016 Emmys, the Perfect Game 20th Anniversary bash, and the Time 100 Gala in April are just a few of the occasions Christian has dressed Leslie for. Christian may not realize it, but he dresses me all the time – I’m constantly buying his shoes and purses at Payless! He kind of owes me, I think…
