Andy Cohen has a new baby boy in his life, and he has picked out the person who will serve as his newborn’s godfather. Many assumed Andy would ask Anderson Cooper to be godfather to his son, Benjamin, because they’ve been friends for so long. Anderson even helped throw Andy one of his baby showers. But, as it turns out, Andy chose another friend, restaurateur Bruce Bozzi. His Beverly Hills location is where Andy’s “Real Housewives” baby shower was held on Saturday, January 26. Why pick Bruce over Anderson? Bruce made Andy godfather to his daughter, Ava, back in November 2007.
Kylie Minogue had to call police when a stalker came to her home and wouldn’t leave. According to a neighbor, the man “repeatedly pressed the intercom button to her home for hours on end….and refused to leave.” Apparently, the guy had been after her for weeks. Another neighbor said she had warned Kylie about the man after he started coming around and asking about her last month. The neighbor said, “A weirdo guy was lurking around. He went door to door asking people where Kylie lived. I don’t think anybody alerted the police, but we gave her a heads-up because it wasn’t normal behavior.” Police found the guy and gave him a warning, but that’s about it. Kylie is said to be “shaken” over the incident and is looking into increasing her security. A source said, “Obviously she was very shaken by what has happened, as anyone would be, but she has taken the sensible steps. She has always had security arrangements and people who she trusts nearby especially for when she goes out, but she will, of course, be looking at other options.” It’s not the first time Kylie has been the target of unwanted attention from fans. She has had four stalkers, the most recent of which came in 2012, when she revealed a “deluded weirdo” was sending her threatening messages on Twitter. She called police to report the crime, but nobody was arrested. Sounds like she really does need to reevaluate her overall security.
We’ve been keeping you up to date on Thomas Markle’s repeated talks with the press about his fractured relationship with estranged daughter Meghan Markle. But it turns out Thomas’ claims that he’s been “iced out” by the Royal newcomer, even after a health emergency, may not be true at all. A source claiming to be Meghan’s longtime close friend said Meghan actually has tried to reconnect with her father – and he’s the one icing her out. We told you before that Thomas claimed she hasn’t replied to his “everyday” texts, or a “two-page letter.” Well, the insider has confirmed that it’s Thomas who hasn’t been answering her texts and calls. The friend also revealed that Meghan wrote Thomas a “heartbroken” letter asking him to “stop victimizing me through the media so we can repair our relationship.” His written response? A “long letter” that ended with a request for a photo op, which confirmed to Meghan that he was missing her point about keeping things out of the press.
Maroon 5 was paid $500,000 for their halftime show, and they’re not even going to see a penny of it. But, of course, that’s by choice. The band has decided to donate their earnings from the performance to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Adam Levine said, “Playing the Super Bowl has been a dream of our band for a long time. We thank the NFL for the opportunity and also to them, along with Interscope Records, for making this donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters, which will have a major impact for children across the country.” No word on how much Spongebob Squarepants was paid and if he plans on donating his earnings too.
