KARAOKE IDOL Contest Rules
****Qualify between March 2nd and May 10th****
All Contestants must also complete a sign-up form with a one time entry fee of $10.00 per participating bar. Once you pay the $10 entry fee you can compete any of the 10 weeks at that location at no additional costs. If you wish to participate at another account (bar) you must then pay their $10 entry fee as well.
All contestants must be a legal US citizen at time of entry. No employees of any of the participating venues or their immediate family (spouse, children parents) are eligible to enter the contest. No contestants under of the age of 21 will be permitted to enter this contest. No employees of any of the sponsors or advertisers of the contest shall be permitted to enter. Only single person entries will be accepted, no duets or groups will be permitted. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
During the first ten weeks of the contest (the preliminaries), participants will have the opportunity to sing two of their favorite songs. Based on memorized lyrics, vocals and performance, including their interaction the audience, the crowd will chose 2 contestants to move on to the local Quarterfinals to compete for small prizes and a spot in the final rounds to compete for $10,000 at Maximum Capacity Sports Bar.
During the following three rounds contestants will once again choose two songs to perform. The use of the karaoke monitor will be allowed for the first song but you will not be allowed to use a monitor for the second song.
Two finalists will be chosen from each participating location to move on to the final 28 contestants that will compete at Maximum Capacity Sports Bar in Chicopee, MA. There will be three more rounds (quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals) at that point starting with 28 contestants then down to 14 and lastly there will be only 7 finalists left competing for $10,000 cash. Karaoke monitors will not be allowed for the final three rounds of the contest. They will be available as a safety, but points will be deducted for the use of the monitors. During the quarter and semi-finals contestants will only be able to perform one song and cannot perform the same song during both rounds. Two songs will be performed for the finals and neither of those songs can be a song that was performed during the quarter-finals or semi-finals.
JUDGING
Judging for the preliminary rounds will be decided by crowd applause. A three person judge panel will determine the following rounds on a point system that will be provided to all finalists before their performances.

Sponsor, its affiliates, employees, agents and representatives, are not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate transcription or loss of entry information for any reason whatsoever. If, in the Sponsor's exclusive judgment, this promotion becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the promotion offer, cancel any method of entry, to void any entries submitted fraudulently or select winners from all eligible entries/votes received prior to act that compromised the promotion. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this con test is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor or its agents.
