The Springfield Public Forum’s 2010 Lecture series begins with a lecture by Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, an Associate Justice appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1994. A graduate and former faculty member of Harvard Law School, Justice Breyer served in a variety of judicial positions at the federal level before his appointment and was a key contributor to the Federal Sentencing Guidelines. Breyer will speak on the current issues facing the Supreme Court, including the appointment of a new Justice.
