Katy Perry and JohnMayer stopped by a Santa Barbara hospital on Saturday to spread a little Christmas cheer. The couple met with patients who won’t be able to celebrate the holidays at home with their families this year. The visit was organized by the Dream Foundation, which helps grant dreams and wishes for those suffering from life-threatening illness.

Speaking of good deeds, Prince Williamhelped airlift a sick infant in Northern Island, despite the fact that the area was deemed unsafe.  The child was taken from Antrim Hospital to a hospital in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.  And he actually looked so hot in his uniform too!

And STILL speaking of good deeds, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg donated almost $500 million in company stock. The Facebook CEO, worth an estimated $12.5, gave about 18 million shares to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, an organization that helps donors distribute their money via grants, which support health and education causes.  Mark previously gave $100 million to public schools in Newark, New Jersey in 2010. He is a member of The Giving Pledge, a campaign conceived by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett that encourages the world's wealthiest individuals to give at least half their fortunes to good causes.

Russell Brand has a new lady in his life, actually a new Katy.   Russell is dating Australian  Kate Peck from MTV. She and Russell Brand hit it off filming the ARIA Music Awards in Sydney last month. A spy said, “They’ve been enjoying quite a passionate fling, mostly at the swanky Park Hyatt. They’ve seen each other a few times. Kate likes his cheekiness, he’s definitely her type. Unlike former girlfriends, Russell wanted to keep it all top secret. Even though he’s left Sydney, they’re still in contact.”

Simon Cowell lost a $20,000 bet he made with L.A. Reid when Thursday night's X Factor results were announced.  Simon bet L.A. at the beginning of the season that if either judge won the whole competition, the losing judge would pay $20,000.  Well, L.A.’s contestant, Tate Stevens, took home the crown, so Simon has to pony up $20,000. Simon is estimated to be worth about $365 million so chances are he’ll pay up without any fuss.
