American Idol season eight finalist Danny Gokey and his wife, Leyicet, welcomed their first child, a son named Daniel Emanuel Gokey, on Sunday, January 20th. The baby weighed 8 lbs. 11 ounces. This is the second marriage for Danny, who tragically lost his first wife Sophia in 2008 after a routine surgery for congenital heart disease. Danny now runs the Sophia’s Heart Foundation, which helps homeless families, in her honor.
The bass player for the Gin Blossoms passed out on stage during a concert in New York over the long holiday weekend. In the middle of their hit, "Hey Jealousy", bassist Bill Leen fell backwards and crashed to the floor. He regained consciousness moments later and refused medical attention. A rep for the band says Bill's condition was caused by "exhaustion from being on the road."
Taylor Swift has reportedly flown to the UK for a possible meet-up with Harry Styles. A spy said, "She has no obvious reason or promo duties in London this week. Harry has just got back from a small tour in Japan with the band and now has four days off. " And, out of all the hotels there are in London, Taylor has opted for one close to Harry's house." Simon Cowell wants Harry to make nice with Taylor so Harry’s band, “One Direction”, doesn’t suffer negatively.
Police raced to Chris Brown's Hollywood Hills home Monday afternoon after someone called 911 and reported a domestic incident involving a gun, but it was all a prank. The caller claimed a mother and father were in a fight and the father went to another room in the house to get a gun. At that point the caller hung up, never mentioning it was Chris Brown's house. When police arrived, there was no evidence of a gunman or, for that matter, any dispute. Chris was not home at the time.
Jennifer Lawrence's ex boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult, is busy promoting his new film “Warm Bodies” all around the world. And although he only recently broke up with Jennifer, he hasn’t wasted any time getting to know some new ladies. Nicholas, who was rumored to be getting close with his “Warm Bodies” co-star, was spotted cozying up with Tatiana Luter, an Italian actress, while at a nightclub in Rome. Hopefully, Jennifer is okay with all this, because as we all know, she is pretty good with a bow and arrow.
