During this weekend’s Golden Globes ceremony, “Hunger Games” and “X-Men” star Jennifer Lawrence won the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for her role in “Silver Linings Playbook”, and when she began her acceptance speech she said, "I beat Meryl [Streep]". So why was she sticking it to Meryl Streep? She wasn’t. She was actually paying homage by quoting a line from the “The First Wives Club,” which stars acting greats Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and Diane Keaton. It’s a scene where Bette picks up an award and says that exact line.
Cara Delevingne, an 18-year-old Burberry model who Harry Styles before he dated before Taylor Swift, could be the reason Harry and Taylor split. One source dished, “Cara likes Harry a lot but at the moment she’s put her career and ambition first, but they’re still in touch, and Harry wants her back." Even though rumor had it he dumped Taylor for being too much of a lady, Harry is said to have higher hopes for Cara. The source added, “Harry even thinks she could be the one.”
Lance Armstrong made an apology to his Livestrong employees over his lying about drug use, but that means that Lance could be charged with perjury since he lied to prosecutors during a deposition in 2005, and probably more since then. As I previously reported, media outlets have come after Lance for money they had to pay him over libel charges.
Kate Middleton is due July 2013, according the Palace. July is a bittersweet month for William as the first of that month was the birthday of his late mother, Princess Diana. The palace also used the word “baby” as opposed to “babies” so we can be assured they are not twins on the way.
Julianne Hough wore an unusual accessory to the Golden Globes – her earrings were made from real bugs. Julianne said, "We created this with [jewelry designer] Daniela Villegas. It's an actual pair of beetle and actual stick bugs." Ewwww! And to think, all this time I rocked June bugs in my Aqua Net bangs back in the 80’s… who knew I was so trendy?
