I started my radio career at 94.7 WMAS in 1996, and after years of venturing through Western Mass doling out prizes, I turned in the keys to the prize van for a chair inside the studio with the morning crew doing Dina’s Dirt reports. I grew up in Western Mass and get to relive my childhood all over again through my awesome kids, Morgan and Quinn, with my wonderful husband, Gary, along with our pup, the infamous Crazy Daisy. All of them still love me despite the fact I can’t cook anything worth eating. No, seriously, even the neighborhood animals won’t touch the stuff I throw out.
I’ve had a secret passion (okay, so maybe it’s a very public passion) for shoes since I was a little kid. From what my mom says, when I was a toddler, I would wake up in the middle of the night and demand a new dress, new shoes, and a new “pockey-book.” I don’t know how they ever got me back to sleep.
The number one question people ask me about my job is, “How do you get up so early?” Besides multiple alarm clocks, knowing that every day I get to come in and do something I love, connect with our longtime listeners and meet new ones, and help out in the community, makes it easier and so worth it.
I’d like to take a second here to thank you for listening and for your continued support over the years, especially those of you who have tried my cooking – and survived!

What’s in Dina’s Closet?
Pretty much anything covered in chocolate (except that which has legs), garlic, creme brulee, key lime pie. Yes, I realize those are mostly sweets….
Anything I can quote, although Dirty Dancing is high on the list, as well as Bad Moms, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, White Chicks, 21 Jump Street, Sixteen Candles, and The Neverending Story.
House of Night, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Morganville Vampires, and Fables (Lopez got me hooked!)
Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, This is Us, The Handmaid’s Tale, Outlander, Younger, Grey’s Anatomy, and Vikings, however I have seen more Spongebob lately than any of my shows combined. I never have time to watch any of my shows though (thank goodness for DVR and On Demand – I’m almost caught up on Growing Pains).
Sting, Enrique Iglesias, Lana del Rey, Bishop Briggs, Imagine Dragons, Norah Jones, Lorde, Phil Collins, Dave Matthews…but again, I seem to have more Nickelodeon and Disney show songs memorized. Let’s sing it together now, “Who lives in a pineapple under the sea…”
Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, and Mamma Mia!
90’s Johnny Depp – all the way. I’ve even Jedi mind-tricked my daughter to say, “He’s a really good actor.” And rounding out my top 5, in no particular order – Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Wayans, and honestly, #5 rotates on a daily basis (today it’s Jason Momoa)!
Pepperidge Farms Goldfish and multiple dust bunnies (low maintenance pets). My kids have beta fish whose names I don’t know (the fish, not the kids) – and a dog, Crazy Daisy.
Sleeping (because I never get much of it), reading on the beach, and volleyball (I’m not good at it, but I have fun).
Does Zumba count as a sport? Otherwise, we can call Closet Organizing a sport…
Mint Chocolate Chip with lots of whip cream, sprinkles, and a cherry on top (this I won’t even share with my kids!).
“In this great future, you can’t forget your past” – Bob Marley
“Always be a first-rate version of yourself and not a second-rate version of someone else” – Judy Garland
“Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.” – Sophia Loren
