I grew up in Boston and lived in eastern Massachusetts until moving to the Springfield area about 5 years ago. I've been in radio for about 15 years, mostly as a news guy. Over the last few years I added traffic reporter to my resume. I'm married and have one son. For movies, I like comedies, action movies and sports movies. I'm partial to non fiction although I recently read some Dean Koontz that I liked. My favorite artists we play are Rob Thomas, Maroon 5 and Katy Perry. I like to golf, although I need lessons. I'm excited to be hosting 6pm-9pm Saturday nights here on WMAS.

Well, where do I start? I’ve been here at 94.7 WMAS for a little over seven years now. I do many things here at the station from setting up live remotes to changing ceiling tiles, and I also work the front desk. I guess you could say I do many things here behind the scenes. I really enjoy music a lot and I started my own DJ business back in 2003. Then my dream came true when they asked me to do an air shift. How could I say no? Thanks for listening to your official at work station.

Hi everyone, I'm Val, thanks for stopping by! I'm new to WMAS and new to the area as well! I grew up in the Hudson Valley area of NY and just moved to Connecticut in September. I’ve always been a little bit of a radio junkie, ended up going to school for it, and landed my first radio gig back in 2005 in Poughkeepsie, NY! Since then, I’ve worked at a number of stations in a bunch of different formats including alternative rock, country and eventually my longtime home at a station very similar to WMAS back in NY! Outside of the radio world I’m a big sports fan, love those New York Yankees – but seeing that I was born and raised in NY I’m hoping you’ll go easy on me! Looking forward to spending Sunday 10am-3pm with you!
